After graduating in Transport Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design, Paolo Trevisan worked for two years (1997-98) in Brazil, in an industrial design studio in São Paulo, working on a new concept of public transportation for the city. He was also in charge of projects related to urban furniture, architecture and industrial design. While in Brazil, Trevisan also worked for an advertising agency, on creative campaigns and packaging.
On returning to Italy, Trevisan started working at Pininfarina Extra as a designer in 2000. He started as a project coordinator, eventually being appointed to the role of Design Manager.
Reporting to Paolo Pininfarina, Trevisan role incorporates two key responsibilities. The first: to manage the design team, ensuring Pininfarina’s DNA, identity and language is retained and consistent across all projects. The second: overseeing the design process: from brief to creative interpretation and delivery.
Trevisan’s design work at Pininfarina Extra includes industrial design, architecture and interiors, graphics and packaging, nautical and aeronautics design projects.
He has managed more than 100 initiatives, including projects for Juventus Stadium, Coca-Cola, the Bovet Chronographs, Lavazza , Schaefer yachts, the Olympic Torch, Snaidero kitchens, Acer, Samsung , Lange, the Vectus PRT, the first lifestyle collection by Pininfarina and now, the limited edition Chivas 18 by Pininfarina.
Since 2011, Trevisan has taught at the Istituto Europeo di Design as Coordinator of the Master in Advanced Design for Transportation.
